What is the difference between your pizza dough and other pizza doughs?

Our pizza dough is made with a unique blend of flour, water, yeast, and salt. This combination gives our pizza dough a light, airy texture that is perfect for holding toppings. Other pizza doughs often use a variety of different ingredients, which can result in a heavier, denser crust.

Why are your pizza bases the best pizza bases?

I’m having trouble rolling out your pizza dough. What should I do?

If you’re having trouble rolling out our pizza dough, we recommend adding a bit more flour to your work surface. Once you’ve added more flour, continue to roll out the dough until it is thin and even. If you find that the dough is still sticking to your rolling pin or countertop, add more flour until the dough is easy to work with.

How do I tell which side of the pizza base to put the topping on?

Place your toppings on the smooth side of the Letizza pizza base, the bottom side has a light coating of crumb.

Should I use the same amount of topping on a Letizza pizza base that I would put on a normal pizza?

No! Letizza pizza bases has tons of flavour and taste baked right into it, therefore you usually need only half the topping you would put on a normal pizza.

How do I make a Letizza pizza extra crispy?

Brush the perimeter of the Letizza pizza base with olive oil prior to baking and this will add extra crispness to the edges of your pizza or simply use a stone base in the oven instead of a tray.

Is it ok to cook a Letizza pizza in the microwave?

We usually don’t recommend microwave cooking as with most bread products, it tends to produce a Letizza pizza with a ‘rubbery’ texture. We do however find that lots of kids like to cook their Letizza pizza in the microwave because they are not allowed to use the oven and still find it ok. So ‘horses for courses’.

Can I freeze Letizza pizza bases?

Yes! Letizza pizza bases are ideal for freezing for up to 12 months.

Can Letizza pizza bases be baked from frozen?

Yes! Just add a couple of extra minutes to the baking time and you will have perfect results.

What else can I do with Letizza pizza bases other than serve as pizza?

Letizza pizza bases also make delicious desserts. Apples sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and baked. Served with fresh cream is delicious. Or, they can be used as an accompaniment to a meal – think garlic or herb bread. Prick the base with a fork and paint with butter and sprinkle with garlic granules or your favourite herbs.

What about for people watching their weight. Is Letizza full of fats?

Letizza pizza bases contains less than 3% fat. It is ideal for the weight conscious or any healthy minded person young or young at heart.

I once heard of someone who was serving Letizza for breakfast. What would you put on Letizza to serve it at that time of day?

No they do not require any proofing, they are ready to start cooking as soon as you unpack them.

How long is the cook time?

If you preheat your oven to 220 degrees, 5-7 mins cook time.

Can Letizza bases be used in any type of oven, e.g electric or wood fire?

Yes! Either type oven can be used to cook Letizza pizza bases.

What is the storage shelf life for Letizza Pizza Bases?

Letizza pizza bases are so great as they have 3 months shelf life in your pantry or fridge, and 12 months in the freezer.
